How can you keep a cigarette in your mouth and smoke it without removing it at all through the entire thing?

I'm a smoker of legal age, I'm just curious, I often see other smokers around the who are able to keep their cigarette in their mouth through their entire smoke, and not remove it at all, are they breathing it in and exhaling through their nose? I tried this and wasn't able to do it very long myself.
