My 6 year old has recently started sleep walking. is there anything i can do?

my 6 year old son has recently started sleep walking. he gets up in the middle of the night, crying hysterically sometimes, but is still asleep. he cries for me and my son and is clearly upset. i ask him about his dreams in the morning but he doesn't remember them. is there anything i can do? this has me very nervous.
