How many times a day should a dog poop?and whats considered abnormal?

we are in the process of potty training my mastiff pup....she goes pee outside wen we say "go potty" and has only pooped once outside in the past 3 days and once inside the day after....When my husband saw her poop inside he got mad and put her face very close to it and scolded her...is this why she wont poop?
