Is speech therapy considered as part of the biomedical field?

I'm trying to figure out if in want to join BCA (Biomedical Career Academy) @ my hs, but I don't really think speech therapy/pathology pertains much to biology or the medicine. I'm not sure. But BCA is gong to screw up my schedule next year, so I don't know if it's worth it, but then again it may help because I'm not taking honors next year. I don't know what to do o.o ...I want to stay a least a little competitive for college...even if i am only going to CSU (which is actually the school of my choice, because I love cali and live of state, but it's certainly no ivy league school....so everythng should be all good right?....idk I'm totally freaking out and I'm only going into my sopre year lol)
