How can you tell if your Carbon Monoxide detector is working?

If its battery operated take it out to the tail pipe of your car it will go off...if it is a electric one have a smoker blow on it and it should go off...If none of these happen throw it out and buy a new one..it isn't worth the risk for you or your family....Happy New Year
